The front of the envelope is the usual sort we see from the Beligum Royals, although they do use a variety of envelopes. This envelope features a purple crown on the front with Belvédère written underneath. Belvédère Castle is King Albert & Queen Paola's official residence.
The back of the envelope is blank.
Inside is a typed card. The card is fairly similar to what we have seen from other Belgium Royals over the years but is different than Paola's past birthday replies. For the last few years, Paola has normally replied with a card written in the 1st person, and her signature printed on.
The card reads:
Her Majesty Queen Paola thanks you wholeheartedly
for your kind message on the occasion of her 82nd birthday.
