Queen Elizabeth - Birthday Reply (2015)

I received this letter in the mail yesterday. I had written to Queen Elizabeth for her 89th Birthday. The letter was written by one of her Lady-in-Waiting, Mary Morrison, and looks very similar to other letters I've received from Queen Elizabeth.  The letter also thanks me for sending best wishes on the then-upcoming birth of Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, who was born May 2nd. 

(Princess Charlotte was 4 days old when this letter was written.)

The Letter says: 

Dear Miss Daly, 

The Queen wishes me to write and thank you for the letter and kind message which you sent on the occasion of Her Majesty's eighty-ninth birthday, and for the forthcoming birth of her fifth great grandchild.  

The Queen greatly appreciates your kind thought for her at this time, and I think you would like to know that the arrival of Princess Charlotte of Cambridge has given much pleasure to the whole Royal Family.  

I am to thank you very much once again for writing as you did.

Prince Harry Leaving Military Reply (2015)

A lovely reply arrived from the UK. This letter is one of the most exciting I've received so far. Usually, when you write to Prince Harry for a certain occasion they reply back with a postcard-sized photo with a printed message on the back.  

I wrote to Prince Harry, after the announcement that he would be leaving the Armed Forces after 10 years of service, to congratulate him on his hard work and to wish him the best of luck for the future. 

Today, on the day Princess Charlotte of Cambridge was born, I received this reply. This is the first actually letter I have received from Kensington Palace. (As Harry's mail is usually answered by the Correspondence Section at Clarence House.) The letter was written by Harry's Private Secretary, Edward Lane Fox. It's quite brief, but really exciting because it is a real letter. 

As you can also see, the body of the letter was very carefully placed between the two folds. 

The letter reads:

Dear Miss Daly,  

Prince Harry has asked me to write and thank you very much for your letter of 24th March.  

His Royal Highness was extremely grateful to you for taking the trouble to write as you did and for your kind words.  

Prince Harry would have me send you his very best wishes.  

Yours Faithfully, 

EDLF

Edward hand-signed the letters with "Yours Faithfully, ESLF". Little know fact Edward's middle name is Sackville.

Charles & Camilla - 10th Wedding Anniversary (2015)

I got this reply from the UK. This was the first time I had written to just Camilla.

There were a few things going on at the time that I wrote to Camilla about, her upcoming Tour of the USA with Charles & her 10th Wedding anniversary.

What is really interesting about this reply is it was sent by registered mail. This means it was tracked and I had to sign for it.

The card inside is twice the size as the ones usually sent by William, Kate and Harry. The picture was originally released for an interview that Charles gave to CNN prior to the couple's tour of the USA in March.

The back of the card has a simple typed message, hand signed by Camilla herself. Camilla is well known for often writing back herself, or personally signing cards. I know a handful of people you have received personal responses from the Duchess.

The message says:

Dear Gertrude, 

Thank you so much for remembering our 10th Wedding Anniversary. 

It is hard to believe that we have been married for a decade!!

This is probably one of my favorite response I have received from the Royals so far.

Prince Albert of Monaco - Birthday Note (2015)

Yesterday I received another reply from Monaco. The reply is from Prince Albert thanking me for writing to him on the occasion of his birthday. The Prince turned 57 on March 14th.

The note was quite typical of the couple, Prince Albert and Princess Charlene. It was written on a pre-typed card with his monogram (Charlene has her own, and the couple also has a joint one). The signature is printed on. Per usual, with Monaco, the note was bilingual, written in both English and French.

The note was dated the 14th, which is Prince Albert's birthday. Pre-typed notes often have the date of the special occasion, or else the month the reply was written.

The letter is postmarked the 24th. The letter took 6 days to arrive in the mail, which is sooner than average for Monaco.

The card says:

Touched by your kind thoughts for my birthday, please accept my most sincere thanks.

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark - Birthday (2015)

Yesterday, I received a letter from Denmark. Inside was a note from one of Crown Princess Mary's Lady-in-Waiting thanking me for writing to Crown Princess Mary on the occasion of her 43rd Birthday.  It is a generic thank you they send to everyone who wrote for that occasion.

I sent the letter on Feb 4th, they sent their reply on Feb 10th, and 42 days later I received it in the mail. The Denmark Royals are the only Royals I have encountered, so far, who send their letters Economy. Other Royals send their letters Priority or First Class. Those usually arrive in the US a week after their reply is sent.

I was however surprised by how quickly they responded to my letter, that was the quickest response yet by any Royal. Usually it can take 14 to 67 days, from when I sent the letter for them to send a reply (Based off of the Postmark).

This note was very similar to the one I received for writing to the Crown Prince Couple (Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary) for Christmas.

Princess Madeleine of Sweden - Pregnancy Reply (2015)

Today, I got a letter in the mail from Sweden. The letter was from Princess Madeleine. I had written to Madeleine in January to congratulate Madeleine and her husband Chris on the announcement of their second child.

The letter was written by Princess Madeleine's Secretary, Anita Soderlind, on A5 sized paper (half sheet) and hand-signed. The paper is the nice quality you would expect from the Royals, with a watermark reading Swedish Bond.

The letter was quite brief, but still is one of my favorites. Included with the letter is a picture of Princess Madeleine, her husband Christopher O'Neill and daughter, Princess Leonore (from Leonore's Christening on 8 June 2014, their 1st wedding anniversary). The picture was the same size as the letter. This is quite larger than the pictures sent by the Cambridges or Prince Harry.

Princess Madeleine is due to give birth to their 2nd child in June of 2015, hopefully sometime after her brother's June 13th wedding, which she is scheduled to attend.

Princess Charlene of Monaco - Birthday Reply (2015)

I received a reply today from Monaco. The reply is from Princess Charlene, thanking me for writing to her for her birthday, January 25th. 

The note is bi-lingual written in both French and English, the two commonly spoken languages in Monaco. The note is fairly simple and typical of what you usually see from Monaco. 

The note reads:

Very touched by your thoughtfulness expressed on the occasion of my birthday, I would like to thank you most sincerely.
